Daniel Davidson spent most of his early years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Although he was raised in a devoted Christian home, he did not trust Christ as his Savior until the age of fifteen. Within a few months, God called him to preach. After graduating from high school, he attended Pensacola Christian College where he earned his B.A. in Bible. After working on staff at churches in Oklahoma and Washington, he began pastoring Hillview in January 2004. God has placed a special desire in Pastor Daniel’s heart to strengthen people’s lives around Christ (check out this link). With that passion, he has a fervent vision for many years to come at Hillview Baptist Church.
His wife Bethany grew up in Japan, where her parents are missionaries. She trusted Christ at the early age of 5. After graduating from high school, she attended Heartland Baptist Bible College where she earned a degree in Church Education. For leisure, Pastor and Bethany enjoy time with their six children and their St. Bernard, Shamgar.
Outreach & Youth
Nathan Auxer grew up in a Christian home and was saved at the age of five. It wasn’t until about ten years later that he surrendered to full time ministry work. After graduating from high school, Nathan attended and graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College with a degree in youth ministries and church education. He and his wife, Joy, married in 2014 and moved to Springfield after graduation in 2015. They have a passion for serving God and encouraging others to do so as well.
Clayton Schmutzler was raised in a Christian home in Overland Park, Kansas. He was saved at the age of 15 at summer camp, which is where he also surrendered to full time ministry. Clayton pursued this calling by furthering his education at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City. This is where the Lord would eventually bring him and his wife Zephany together. Upon earning his degree in Missions, Clayton and Zephany felt the leading of the Lord to move to Springfield, to help further the Gospel with Hillview Baptist Church.
